Accentuating your Brown eyes – eye makeup tips
The best way to accentuate brown eyes and really make them stand out and shine is to choose the correct color of shadow. The correct shadow color depends on various factors such as skin tone and how dark or light brown your eyes are.
The word “brown” describes many levels of eye color. Some people have eyes that are almost black while others are a lighter goldish tone. What you always want to keep in mind is that shadow is supposed to accentuate your natural eye color and not overpower it. Choose colors that don’t compete with the colors of your eyes.
Dark Brown Eyes: Are your eyes almost black? Most ladies who have very dark brown eyes also tend to have darker skin. With eyes that dark just about any medium to dark shade will work for your eye color. The one thing to watch out for is your eye makeup looking too dark and harsh. Too make sure you have a good balance, use 2 shades on your eyes, a darker shade and a lighter highlight color.
Medium Brown eyes: Medium brown looks great with mauves, violets and purples. Green, copper and shimmery golds also look great with medium brown eyes.
Light brown: Light brown eyes are gorgeous and shadow should showcase and play upon the natural gold specs in your eyes. Use two colors of shadow, darker in your crease and a golden warm tone for the highlight.
hazel Eyes: Hazel eyes look best with shadow that is not very dark, think light brown, champagne and mauve colors. When it comes to hazel eyes, try a medium color eyeliner. Black is sometimes too harsh. Try a dark brown mascara as well.
Other colors to try on brown eyes would be shimmery pinks, corrals and plums. Depending on your skin tone it may work or not.
On medium to dark brown eyes stick with black mascara. On lighter brown eyes go for brown mascara.
